TROOP 137
HOW TO JOIN
Please review the FAQ section.
We invite you to visit our Troop at one of our regular, weekly meetings. You do not have to contact us before attending, and when you get there just ask for our scoutmaster.
Once you have decided to join us please complete the steps below and meet with our membership coordinator at one of the regular meetings. If you have any questions, please contact us at scoutsbsatroop137@gmail.com.
How to Join Troop 137:
Youth Members
Complete BSA Youth Application – The easiest way to do this is to complete the online application and look for Troop 137 and click Apply Now. You will be required to set up an account on my.scouting.org.
BSA scout dues are $90 (annually - prorated if you join after January)
Scout’s Life magazine for Youth (optional) is $12 (annually – prorated if you subscribe after January).
Complete BSA Health and Medical Form
Parts A, B1, and B2 are due with scout registration
Part C is required for summer camp registration
Submit a copy of the front and back of your health insurance card
All Parent(s) need to complete the BSA Youth Protection Training and turn in a copy of the certificate indicating you have viewed the video. You may email a copy of your YPT certificate to scoutsbsatroop137@gmail.com.
Send a text to the remind groups below for communications from our troops.
Troop 137 Parents and Scouts with phones need to join Remind or text @69g48kb to the number 81010
Adult Members
Complete the BSA Youth Protection Training and turn in a copy of the YPT certificate indicating you have viewed the video. You may email a copy of your YPT certificate to scoutsbsatroop137@gmail.com.
Complete BSA Adult Application – The easiest way to do this is to complete the online application and look for Troop 137 and click Apply Now.
BSA adult member dues are $50 (annually - prorated if you join after January)
For those adults planning to attend campouts, please complete BSA Health and Medical Form and submit a copy of your insurance card.
Parts A, B1, B2 are needed for any adults going on camping trips or other outings
Part C is required for summer camp registration
Submit a copy of the front and back of your health insurance card
Merit Badge Counselors (How to Become a Merit Badge Counselor Checklist)
Complete BSA Adult Application – be sure to complete the last page (background check authorization)
Complete the BSA Youth Protection Training and turn in a printed copy of the YPT certificate indicating you have viewed the video. Please send an electronic copy of your YPT certificate to scoutsbsatroop137@gmail.com.
Complete Merit Badge Counselor Application - there is no fee to become a Merit Badge counselor
Complete Merit Badge Counselor Training found at https://my.scouting.org and print the certificate to turn in with your application.
